I was worked there for 5th months in 2022, it's very glad worked this great airport. Now I've want sharing my experience until worked on there. Might be it could describe if you never visit it.
Kualanamu Airport is the 3th greats airport in Indonesia. On 2022 total number of passengers 5,85 millions people (source bisnis.com), with 330.719 foreign destinations (source detik.com) and estimated will be increased in 2023. That makes it the largest airport on the island of Sumatra.
Kualanamu airport have nine airlines for domestic flight route such as Garuda Indonesia, Citilink Airlines, Air Asia, Batik Airlines, Wings Airlines, Super air jet, Lion Air, Susi Airlines and Nam Air the last two are private rentals on this airport. They are have six international flight route by Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airline, Citilink Airlines, Batik Airlines, Air Asia and Lion Air.
This airport also open to the public makes this have characteristic unique operational from other airport. On this Kualanamu public can move to inside and just walk to around airport.
So you can come to airport in weekend or anytime you want and only pay for parking vehicle. You will meet foreigners here, looking plane arrive, looking plane take off, beautiful air hostess and many others. So interested ??
